Recipe for Vege. Tu Tuo fish

Ingredients:

400 gram of Vege. Tu Tuo Fish.

50 gram of tomato puree or 5 medium size red tomatoes.

4 pieces of garlic, dice.

1 Red pepper, dice.

Cooking oil.

Method:

  1. Slice the Vege Tu Tuo fish at an angle.

  2. Heat up one table spoon of cooking oil in frying pan, lightly brown both side of the sliced vege. Tu Tuo fish in the frying pan. Use medium heat.

  3. Heat 1 table spoon of cooking oil in frying pan and sauté the garlic till it is bright yellow in color.

  4. Add in the tomato puree and 4oz of water, bring to boil using medium heat. (If you are using fresh tomato, first cook the tomato in boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes, cool it in cold water and remove skin, press tomato into a puree. )

  5. Add salt or soya sauce to taste and red pepper.

  6. Place fried Tu Tuo fish into the tomato sauce and let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

  7. Serve with rice.

Vege Mutton Masala

Ingredients:

250 gram Vege mutton.

100 gram masala curry powder mix.

250 gram Small potatoes.

5 to 6 Small onion cut in ¼s.

3 table spoon cooking oil.

80ml of coconut milk or thick soya milk.

Salt for tasting.

Method.

  1. Pour oil into pan and lightly fry the onion till it turns slightly yellow or when the aroma comes out than add masala mix and fry them for 8 to 10 minutes in low heat so not to burn the masala mix.

  2. Add in the Vege mutton and fry them for 5 to 8 minutes, add in the coconut milk or soya milk. Add the potatoes and bring to boil. (I prefer freshly sneeze coconut milk to those canned or pre-pack type).

  3. Add in the salt as require for taste.

  4. Turn down the heat and simmer for 20 minutes or when the potatoes are cook.

  5. Serve with rice or chappati.

  6. If you serve with bread you may want to add more water so that you have more soup for dipping the bread.

Note: You can use olive oil in place of normal cooking oil.

Burger Tofu Casserole

Ingredients:

1 can CV Veg Burger.

4 pieces of taukuan or tofu.

1 rice bowl of bean curd or 300gram.

2 big onion.

Method:

  1. Dice up the onion and mesh up the taokuan or tofu.

  2. Lightly brown the onion in 2 table spoon of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  3. Pour the Veg Burger into the frying pan and fry it together with the onion for 5 minutes, remove from heat source.

  4. Mix the tofu into the burger.

  5. Pour the burger mix into a baking tray or shallow dish, add the bean curd and stirring to get a consistence spread of the curb over the surface of the burger.

  6. Heat oven to 230 to 250 deg C for 20 minute (You can do this before you start frying the onion) place casserole into oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes till surface turns yellowish.
